Ingredients

  • 2 Sliced Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Chopped Onion
  • 2 ½ Ounces of Chorizo
  • 1 Pound of Chicken Pieces
  • 1 Teaspoon of Paprika
  • 1 Sliced Red Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon of Tomato Puree
  • 1 ¼ Cups of Paella Rice
  • ½ Cup of Chicken Broth
  • ½ Cup of Peas
  • 1 Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Pinch of Salt
  • 1 Pinch of Pepper

Directions

Begin by pouring the olive oil into a large, shallow pan over a medium heat. Then, add in the garlic, onion, chorizo, paprika, red pepper flakes, and chicken, stirring regularly and making sure the chicken and chorizo get cooked through both sides. Add the red pepper, tomato paste, chicken broth, and rice next, stirring occasionally for another 5-10 minutes.

Then, pour in a cup of water to the mix, sprinkle in some salt and pepper, and then cover it and bring it to a boil. Once it boils, reduce the heat down to a simmer and add in the peas and lemon juice, stirring occasionally for another 20 minutes.

Serve warm and enjoy!
