Chuck Roast
Ingredients
- 2-3 lb. boneless chuck roast
- 1 pkg. lipton onion soup mix
- 2 Tbs. oil
- salt
- pepper
- garlic
- 1 can cream of mushroomsoup (undilluted)
- 1 C. red burgundy wine
- 1 can beef broth
Directions
Season meat with salt, pepper and garlic on both sides. In a dutch oven (or heavy lg. pot) sear roast in the hot oil on both sides. Add beef broth and onion soup mix and simmer for about 1 hour. Add mushroom soup and wine and cook until tender.
