  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cinnamon sticks, 7 cm
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 4 small beurre bosc pears, whole and washed

In a large saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon, and cinnamon stick on low heat. Cook until the sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. When the sugar is dissolved, gently add in the pears. Cover the pot and and cook for 10-15 minutes until the pears are tender. Make sure to flip the pears over half way through the cooking process. Allow to cool and serve warm with yogurt and remaining syrup in the pot.
