  • 1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
  • 4 pears
  • 4 C. water
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 C. honey
  • ¼ C. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ C. sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium saucepan, whisk together water, sugar, and honey. Bring to a boil and immediately reduce heat to simmer until sugar has completely dissolved. Stir in cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla. Peel pears and add them to the simmering sauce. Simmer for 30 minutes until tender. Remove from sauce and let cool. Lay out your crescent roll dough and cut into ½-inch strips. Wrap pears with dough strips and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown, remove, brush with remaining sauce, and roll in sesame seeds.
