  • 3 T. butter, melted
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 C. low-fat milk
  • 1 3/4 C. granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 T. cornstarch
  • 1 C. boiling water
  • 3 1/2 C. fresh cherries, pitted

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Take out a bowl and combine 3/4 C. sugar, butter, flour, salt, baking powder, and milk. Transfer the cherries into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking pan. Evenly spread the dough on top of the cherries. Mix together the remaining sugar and cornstarch inside of a separate smaller bowl. Stir in the boiling water and then pour this mixture over the dough. Bake the cobbler in your preheated oven for 45 minutes and serve.
