Ingredients

  • For the Waffles:
  • 2 C. flour
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 2 1/2 C. milk
  • 1/2 C. butter or oil
  • 1 Tbs. cinnamon
  • 1 lb chicken, fried

For the Waffles: Preheat waffle iron. In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder. Add egg yolks, milk and butter; mix well. In small bowl, whip egg whites until they form peaks. Add cinnamon. fold into flour mixture.  Bake in waffle iron and serve hot topped with your favorite toppings.  Try fruit, nuts or even chocolate chips.

 For the Chicken: Put the butter in a baking pan and place it inside the oven to melt it. Once melted, arrange the chicken in the pan so that it is a single layer with the skin side down.Bake for 30 minutes and then turn the chicken over. Bake for another 15 minutes or until the chicken is done.
