  • 3 3/4 C. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/3 C. warm water
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1 pkg. dry active yeast
  • 3 T. olive oil
  • 1/2 C. cormeal
  • 2 T. butter, melted
  • garlic power
  • 1/2 lb. cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 C. pepperoni slices
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 3 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. basil

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add warm water, sugar, and yeast. When the mixture begins to foam, add in olive oil and knead for five minutes. Cover and let rise for one hour. Preheat your oven to 400°F and sprinkle a large baking sheet or cake pan with cornmeal. Toss dough onto a lightly floured surface and divide into two equal balls. Store one in the freezer for up to three months or double the remaining ingredients to make two pizzas. Stretch pizza to form a 10-inch circle and transfer to prepared baking sheet. In a medium bowl, combine tomato sauce, oregano, and basil. Spread mixture onto dough, leaving room for a one-inch crust. Spread the sauce-less portion with two tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder. Cover pizza with sausage, pepperoni and cheese. Bake for 25 minutes, or until cheese begins to bubble. Wait 10 minutes before serving.
