Ingredients

  • 3 lb. chuck roast
  • 1 lb. carrots, diced
  • 2 medium onions, halved
  • 2 stalks of celery, diced
  • 2 C. water
  • 2 C. rice
  • 2 pkg. brown gravy mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Brown the roast on each side in a skillet. Place it in a slow cooker with the water and gravy mix. After 6 hours on low, toss in the veggies and rice (add more water if needed). Continue to cook on low for 2 hours.
