Preheat oven to 450ºF degrees.

In a large bowl combine dry ingredients together well, cut butter and mix into flour mixture until crumbs are created. Fold milk into flour mixture, stirring with a fork, mix until dough is soft. Flour a surface lightly and turn dough onto it. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until dough is 1/2 inch thick. Using a round cookie cutter cut out as many biscuits as you can. Placing each dough round onto a lined baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Meanwhile in a large sauce pan warm the oil over medium heat. Slowly whisk in flour and pepper until smooth. Stir lightly until flour starts to brown and slowly stir in milk so that no lumps form. Continue to stir until gravy gets thick. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cut each biscuit in half, place a sausage in and top with gravy and top half of the biscuit and serve.
