  • 2 pounds ground sirloin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coffee
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 slices provolone
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • 8 slices onion
  • 8 slices tomato
  • Lettuce
  • Barbecue Sauce

Mix the coffee, salt and pepper, oregano, and brown sugar together in a bowl. Form the sirloin into 8 patties and gently press your thumb into the center of each patty to make a small indent. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of the coffee mixture on each burger and place the patties on the grill, coffee rub side down, over medium-high heat. Grill for 4 minutes on each side. Top the patties with a slice of cheese and cook for 1 more minute. Assemble the burgers on the buns with onion, tomato, lettuce, and barbecue sauce.
