Coke Ham
Added: 13th October 2009
Time needed
10 minutes preparation
+ 4 hours cooking
Ingredients
- 1 pre-sliced ham (any size is fine)
- 1-2 bottles honey dijon or brown mustard
- 1 pkg. brown sugar
- 24 oz. breadcrumbs
- 1 2-ltr. bottle Coke (or Diet Coke)
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. If you can't find a pre-sliced ham, just use a regular ham and make deep cuts in it. Make sure your ham is completely thawed, takes 1-2 days. In a roasting pan, baste your ham in the coke. After it is completely coated, pat brown sugar into the mustard. Cover, place in oven, and cook about 1 hour per pound. When you reach your last hour, remove ham from oven. Repeat the basting, mustard, and sugar. Pat bread crumbs onto ham, making sure it's not too soggy. Place back in oven, uncovered and cook for the last hour. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
