Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 1/2 C. milk (or half-and-half)
- 1 1/2 C. cooked green cabbage or curly kale, chopped fine
- 4 Tbs melted butter or margarine, divided
- 1 Tbs. minced parsley
- 1 tsp salt, or to taste
- 1/4 tsp pepper, or to taste
- 6 green onions, chopped fine
- Pinch of mace
Directions
Cook potatoes until tender; drain well. Heat milk and onions until onions are soft; add to potatoes and beat with mixer until fluffy. Blend in cabbage, 1 tablespoon butter, parsley, salt, pepper and mace. Beat until potatoes and cabbage are fluffy. Pile into warm deep dish; make well in center and pour in remaining 3 tablespoons butter.
