  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 6 hamburger buns, split
  • 1 red onion onion, sliced
  • 1/3 lb. blue cheese
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1 tbs. kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 tbs. garlic powder
  • 1 tbs. onion powder

In a large bowl, combine ground beef and ground chuck. Evenly form mixture into 6 patties.

Mix oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, ground pepper, salt, garlic powder and onion powder in a small bowl. Rub patties in seasoning mixture.

Warm grill over medium heat. Add patties to grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side or until reaching an 160 degrees F.

Place a burger between each bun and top with onion and blue cheese. Serve warm.
