Begin this recipe for copycat Chick-fil-A nuggets by setting your cut chicken breast, one half cup of milk, and pickle juice into a large re-sealable bag. Shake and set in the refrigerator to marinate for a minimum of one hour before cooking.
After your chicken has marinated for the prescribed amount of time, heat your peanut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. You will be ready to fry once the temperature of the oil reaches 350 to 375 degrees.
In the meantime, whisk together the remaining one cup of milk and egg in a medium mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, confectioners’ sugar, and salt and pepper to taste. Dredge your chicken pieces first in the egg and milk mixture, followed by the flour and sugar.
Carefully set your chicken tenders into the hot oil in batches. Let cook for about two to three minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Let drain on a paper towel and serve warm.
