  • 3 cups peanut oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 ½ tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 2 halved skinless boneless chicken breasts
  • 8 pickle slices
  • 1 sliced tomato

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Combine the sugar, flour, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Beat the egg in a separate bowl and then stir in the milk. Dip the chicken pieces in the milk and then coat the chicken in the dry ingredients mixture. Place all four pieces of chicken in the hot oil and cover the pot, cooking for 4 minutes. Spread the melted butter on the face of each bun. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels. Assemble the sandwiches with the hamburger buns, chicken, 2 pickle slices, and 1 slice of tomato.
