  • 1 C. steel-cut oats
  • 3 C. water
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 1 ½ Tbs. butter
  • 3 green apples, chopped
  • Ground cinnamon, topping

Heat the water and salt on a stove. Once it starts boiling, add in the oats and reduce the heat to low. Stir every 3 minutes for 20 minutes or until the oats are tender. Let sit for an additional 3 minutes with the top on. Mix the butter in the oats. Top the oatmeal with the chopped apples and cinnamon.
