Copycat Fannie May's Cherry Chocolates

- 1 jar Maraschino Cherries, unstemmed
- 1 (8-oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate baking squares, chopped
- 1/2 C. Brandy
Drain cherries and return cherries to jar. Pour brandy into jar and cover with lid. Freeze 8 hours.
Drain cherries and pat dry. Melt chocolate baking squares in pan over medium heat, stirring until a candy thermometer reaches 115 degrees F. Remove from heat once chocolate is smooth. Dip cherries quickly into melted chocolate, coating well. Place cherries on wax paper to cool.
