Ingredients

  • 1 lb fish fillets, deboned
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 5 oz whole milk
  • 5 oz beer
  • 1 tsp salt
  • vegetable oil

Directions

Place flour, salt, and eggs into a bowl.
Mix all ingredients until combined
Heat vegetable oil in a pan
Add beer to mixture only after the oil is heated.
Mix beer thoroughly into the mixture
Dip fish fillets into the mixture until they are completely covered
Fry the fillets to a golden brown

For the chips, fry potatoes in vegetable oil until golden brown
Sprinkle salt over fried potatoes
