Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. butter
  • 1/2 C. shortening
  • 1 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 2 C. white chocolate baking pieces
  • 3 1/2 oz. macadamia nuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and shortening, with an electric mixer on medium to high speed, for about 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar and baking soda. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined. Add flour while mixing. Stir in chocolate pieces and macadamia nuts. Drop dough, by rounded teaspoons on cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and let them cool.
