  • ½ lb. penne pasta
  • 2 Tbs. olive oil
  • 2 C. onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp. dries thyme
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 ½ C. canned tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbs. parsley, chopped

Cooked pasta in salted water until al dente, about 8 minutes. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan. Add the onion and Italian seasoning. Cook until onions are soft, stirring frequently. Add the garlic and thyme and cook for one more minute. Remove from heat and set aside. In a large pan, cook the beef and break it up as it cooks. Cook until browned. Add the meat to the onions and pour in the tomato sauce. Return the pan to heat and simmer for about 15 minutes. Toss the pasta with the sauce and sprinkle parsley on top.
