  • 4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 4 C. buttermilk
  • 1 ½ lb. chicken drumsticks
  • ⅓ C. water
  • 1 C. hot sauce
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tsp. cayenne
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Put the chicken in a bowl soak it in the buttermilk for at least two hours. Combine the flour, cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, water, and hot sauce. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot. Take the chicken and dredge them in the flour mixture, dip them in the egg mixture, and back into the flour. Fry the chicken for about 15 minutes until the skin is golden brown.
