You could never go wrong with pizza, especially when it’s a nice, and scrumptious cheese pizza. This recipe is a nice and simple pizza that is sure to please all the hungry people who want a slice or two or three. This is a copycat recipe to that delicious Sbarro’s cheese pizza.

  • ¼ cup yeast
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. basil, minced
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Combine water and yeast into a bowl. Stir until yeast begins to dissolve. Let yeast mixture rest for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, combine 1 cup of flour into the yeast. Stir thoroughly. Flatten out dough onto while sprinkling remaining flour on the dough to keep it softened. Form dough into a ball and rub ball with olive oil. Cover dough with towel and let it rise for about 1 hour. While dough is rising, combine tomato paste and basil. Stir thoroughly. When dough has risen, re-flatten it out. Spread sauce over dough. Sprinkle cheese over sauce. Spray pizza pan and place pizza in. Place in oven for about 15 minutes or until dough is golden brown and cheese has melted.
