  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 C. smooth applesauce
  • 1 15 oz. can solid pack pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 C. wheat flour
  • 2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease the inside of two 9x5x3 loaf pans. In a large bowl, beat together sugar and oil. Mix in eggs, pumpkin, and apple sauce. In another large bowl, sift flour, cloves, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, salt, and baking powder. Stir into pumpkin mixture. Pour batter into prepared loaf pans and bake for one hour. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
