  • 3 Tbs. All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1 C. Plain Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
  • 12 Mozzarella String Cheese Sticks
  • 1 Tbs. Butter, melted

Place the flour in one small bowl. In another small bowl, mix the eggs with 1 tablespoon of water. In a third small bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, garlic powder, and pepper. Working with one mozzarella stick at a time, dredge the cheese through the flour. Dip the cheese in the egg mixture, gently shaking off any excess. Completely coat cheese with bread crumbs. Place breaded mozzarella sticks on a plate, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with foil. Arrange the mozzarella sticks on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with butter. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until heated through. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
