Cornbread Cake

Cornbread without the cornmeal... try it for yourself.

Ingredients

  • 1 C. light brown sugar
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 C. sifted self rising flour
  • 1 C. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 C. oil

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients and bake in a greased oblong pan for 30 minutes or until done. Cut into squares. Just like cornbread. Very delicious.

  • Wow, I am curious about this. Not sure I will make it because it has a ton of oil for such a small cake. Anyone else try it? Let us know.
