Country Chicken Soup
Ingredients
- 1 carrot
- 3/4 C. celery
- 1 med. sweet green pepper
- 1 med. onion
- 3/4 C. cooked cubed chicken
- 1 apple, peeled and sliced 1/4" thick
- 4 Tbs. butter
- 1/3 C. flour
- 1 tsp. curry powder
- 2 whole cloves garlic
- 1 sprig parsley
- 1 C. canned or fresh tomatoes
- 4 C. chicken broth
- 2 1/2 C. milk
Directions
Chop carrot, celery, green pepper and onion. Sautee lightly in butter for 4 minutes, stirring often. Add remaining ingredients, except milk. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes. Add milk, bring to a boil. Serve with homemade biscuits.
