Country Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 carrot
  • 3/4 C. celery
  • 1 med. sweet green pepper
  • 1 med. onion
  • 3/4 C. cooked cubed chicken
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced 1/4" thick
  • 4 Tbs. butter
  • 1/3 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 whole cloves garlic
  • 1 sprig parsley
  • 1 C. canned or fresh tomatoes
  • 4 C. chicken broth
  • 2 1/2 C. milk

Directions

Chop carrot, celery, green pepper and onion. Sautee lightly in butter for 4 minutes, stirring often. Add remaining ingredients, except milk. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes. Add milk, bring to a boil. Serve with homemade biscuits.
