  • ¼ C. canned pumpkin
  • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • Dash black pepper
  • ¼ C. sugar
  • 3 T. vanilla extract
  • 4 C. whole milk
  • 1/3 C. espresso
  • ½ C. heavy whipping cream, whipped

In a saucepan, combine canned pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and black pepper; cook over medium heat and stir for 2 or 3 minutes. Add in sugar and stir constantly as mixture thickens into a syrup. Whisk in milk and vanilla, warming over a low heat. Transfer mixture into a blender and blend until frothy. Divide your brewed espresso between four mugs, top with milk mixture, and top with whipped cream and extra spice.
