- 1 6-oz. can crab meat (drained and checked for any small pieces of shell)
- 2 8-oz. pkgs. cream cheese
- 1 jar cocktail sauce
- snack crackers (i.e. Ritz or Toll House)
Let cream cheese soften to room temperature. When soft, spread the cream cheese in the bottom of a 9x12-inch serving dish. Use your fingers to make indentations in the cream cheese (this will help to hold the sauce and crab in place). Spread the cocktail sauce over the top of the cream cheese. Sprinkle the crab meat over the top of the cocktail sauce. Refrigerate until ready to use. Serve with the snack crackers.
This can also be made with shrimp or a combination of shrimp and crabmeat.
