Cracker Barrel’s Classic Biscuits & Sausage Gravy Copycat

- 3 C. 2% milk plus
- 6 T. whole wheat flour
- Salt and fresh ground black pepper
- 8oz. turkey sausage
- 1 can store bought homestyle biscuits
Combine the first three ingredients in a medium saucepan, stir and gently shake pan until flour is dissolved over a high heat. Turn heat down and let simmer for 15 minutes, stir frequently. Brown sausage in skillet, crumble the meat while cooking. Drain and stir into gravy, cover and turn heat to warm and set aside. Bake biscuits according to package instructions, once they are done take them out the oven and let them cool. Smoother the biscuits with gravy and serve.
