  • 6 C peeled apple slices, chopped into rectangles.
  • ¾ C granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • One thin pie shell.
  • ¼ C brown sugar
  • ¼ C all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbs melted butter

Preheat oven to 400º.

Mix brown sugar, flour, and butter together with apple slices, then fill pie shell with apple slices.

Mix granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together and sprinkle over the apples.

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until apples are tender.
