This one of the best cookie recipes I have tried in a long time. So easy, yet so good. Everyone wants to know how I made them. It will make lots to give as gifts for Christmas. No one can believe they are crackers.

Ingredients

2 1/2 C. miniature round buttery crackers or mini Ritz crackers
3/4 C. butter
2 C. milk chocolate morsels
3/4 C. firmly packed brown sugar
Chopped pecans (optional)

Directions

Place crackers in lightly greased aluminum foil-lined 9x13-inch dish. Bring butter and brown sugar to a boil in medium saucepan, stirring constantly, cook about 3 minutes, keep stirring the whole time. Pour mixture over crackers. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Turn oven off. Sprinkle crackers with chocolate morsels and let stand in oven until chocolate melts. Spread melted chocolate evenly over crackers. Top with pecans. Cool and break into pieces. Store in refrigerator.Note: If miniature rounds are not available, substitute 2 sleeves of regular round buttery crackers broken in half.
