Craig's Pasta Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 16-oz. jar Prego traditional sauce
- 1 12-oz. can stewed tomatoes
- dash of red pepper flakes
- 2 Tbs. Herbs de Provence
- 2 bay leaves
- dash of oregano
- dash of basil
- dash of kosher salt
- dash of ground white pepper
- 1 clove garlic (optional)
- Any amount of Sausage, beef, or chicken
- 2 ladles of water from cooking pasta
Directions
Place Prego pasta sauce in a saucepan and heat on medium high. Add all remaining ingredients except meat and pasta water. Cook meat until cooked through. Brown meat remove all fat/grease then incorporate into sauce until it bubbles then reduce to low and let simmer for a minimum of 45 minutes. Add pasta water to sauce just before removing pasta noodles. Mix and enjoy.
