A simple savory pie that can be served as the main dish or an appetizer.

  • 2 unbaked pie crusts
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 C. chopped onion
  • 1/2 C. chopped celery
  • 1/2 C. chopped green onion
  • garlic to taste
  • 1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • 1-2 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 1 lb. crawfish tails
  • Tony's seasoning or seasoning to taste

Preheat oven 350 degrees. Saute onion, celery, green onion and garlic in butter. When done, add crawfish tails and cook for about 5 minutes. Then add mushroom soup, evaporated milk, cornstarch, cheese and seasoning. Cook until thick and pour in pie shell. Top with the other pie crust and poke holes in top. Bake forĀ 45 minutes to an hour orĀ until golden brown.
