Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cans carnation milk
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 8 Tbs. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

Take the sugar and boil it in a small frying pan. Mix regularly. Once the sugar has caramelized (do not let the sugar burn), pour it over bottom of pan that will hold the mixture. Make sure the sugar is spread evenly on the bottom. Let stand. In a blender, mix all the other ingredients and blend to a smooth froth. Pour mixture in the pan that has the caramelized sugar. Place this pan (covered with aluminum foil) in a water bath and bake for 45 minutes at 300 degrees. When ready you should be able to insert a dry knife in the center and pull it out clean (if this doesn't happen; keep baking at intervals of 10 minutes). Let the pan cool down, turn pan over on a big enough plate and the flan will plop right on it. Pull off the pan.
