  • 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 2 ¼ tablespoons chopped onions
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 minced garlic clove
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup cream
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper

Melt the butter in a pan and then add the onions, mushrooms, and garlic. When the onions are soft or translucent stir in 2 tablespoons of the flour. Pour in the chicken broth and stir while the soup thickens. Then add the cream and the remaining flour and stir the pan. Add the garlic and nutmeg and stir the soup. Continue to stir often while the soup thickens. Season with pepper and serve!
