Make the moistest brownies ever with the addition of cream cheese.

  • 1 package double fudge brownie mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 C. water
  • 1/4 C. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 C. chopped pecans
  • Topping:
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3-1/2 C. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan. For brownies, combine brownie mix, contents of the fudge packet from mix, eggs, water and oil in a large bowl. Stir with spoon until well blended, about 50 strokes. Stir in pecans. Spread evenly in pan. For topping, beat cream cheese in a large bowl at medium speed with electric mixer until smooth. Beat in eggs, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread evenly over brownie mixture. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until edges and top are golden brown and shiny. Cool completely. Refrigerate until well chilled. Cut into bars.
