Creamy Chicken with Mushrooms

A fabulous main course meal that will satisfy anyone’s appetite.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs.. margarine or butter
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (about 1 lb.)
  • 1 1/2 C. sliced mushrooms (about 4 oz)
  • 1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can Campbell's condensed Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 4 C. hot cooked egg noodles

Directions

In large skillet, over medium-high heat, melt 1 Tbs. margarine. Cook chicken 10 minutes, browning both sides. Remove; set aside. Reduce heat to medium. In same skillet, in remaining 1 Tbs. margarine, cook mushrooms and onion with garlic powder until tender and liquid is evaporated, stirring often. Add soup, milk, and pepper. Bring to boil.

  • OK, help me out here. It looks like the directions weren't completed. What are you suppose to do with the sauce? Do you pour it over your chicken and noodles? Sorry but I just don't understand the directions as they are. I'm really interested in making this.
