  • 3 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 (8-oz.) cans clams, drained
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 medium russet potatoes, pared and cubed
  • 3 C. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (13-oz.) can evaporated milk

In small skillet, sauté bacon and onion until onions are golden. Drain and place in crockpot. Add all the remaining ingredient except the evaporated milk. Stir well until combined. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or until potatoes are tender. Add evaporated milk during the last hour of cooking, stirring to blend. Cover and continue cooking until done.
