Creamy Noodle and Cheese Casserole

- 12 oz package of farfalle (bow tie pasta)
- 1 lb of ground beef
- 24 oz jar of pasta sauce
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 oz of cream cheese, leave out to soften
- 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. In a large pot, cook the pasta in salted, boiling water. Allow to cook for about 12 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through. Drain the pasta and return to the pan. Take the cream cheese and stir it into the pasta, allowing it to melt. Stir in the pasta sauce, Italian seasoning and pepper flakes.
Next, take a skillet and over medium heat cook for about 3 minutes or until some of the fat has rendered. Add the onion and the garlic to the beef and cook until the beef is completely browned. This should take about 5 minutes. Mix the beef mixture with the pasta mixture.
Pour you dish into a 3 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the the pasta. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
This dish is excellent when served with a salad or warm garlic bread.
