Creamy Shrimp Pasta
Ingredients
- 3 Tbs. extra virgin olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, well diced
- 1/2 tsp. dry basil
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/3 Tbs. black ground pepper
- 1 16 oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 1 lb. shirmp, cleaned
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 C. heavy cream
- Parsley for garnish
- 1 box spaghetti #9 or thinner if you like
Directions
In a deep skillet saute olive oil, garlic and dry basil until garlic is golden brown. Season shirmp with salt, pepper and garlic powder and add to skillet. Cook shrimp until almost fully cooked. Add crushed tomatoes and simmer for about 3 minuites. Add heavy cream and stir with wooden spoon; simmer until light but creamy. Sauce should be light pink in color. Serve over hot pasta and garnish with parsley.
