  • olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans of tomato soup
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon of dried basil seasoning
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can of chicken broth
  • 1⁄2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 (9 ounce) package of cheese tortellini
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 3 tablespoons of Tomato paste

First, coat a soup pan with olive oil. Then add onions and garlic and sauté them until they become soft.

Next, add the tomatoes, basil, tomato soup and milk, and stir everything until they become blended.
The add the chicken broth and stir in the tomato paste until everything is blended.
Simmer for the soup for 20 minutes.
Then add the half-and-half and tortellini and cook until it is tender (at least 15 minutes).
