Creole Crab Gumbo

Ingredients
- 1/2 C. sliced onion
- 4 Tbs. butter
- 4 Tbs. flour
- 1 lb. crabmeat
- 1 lb. okra, cut up
- 5 C. canned tomatoes
- 1 C. diced green pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 tsp. salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 2 C. water
Directions
Saute onion in butter 10 minutes. Stir in flour and brown. Add crabmeat and other ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, simmer for 1 hour.
