  • 4 sesame buns
  • 4 boneless chicken thighs
  • ½ C. buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. flour
  • 2 C. garlic breadcrumbs
  • 8 slices bacon, thick-cut
  • 4-8 cheddar cheese slices
  • Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • Red onion, sliced
  • Tomatoes, sliced
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Combine the eggs and milk together. Place the flour and breadcrumbs in separate bowls. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and bake the bacon slices for 30 minutes until they’re cooked to your preference. Let them drain on a paper towel. Soak the chicken in the buttermilk mixture for 30 minutes to an hour. Heat the oil for frying the chicken. Dredge the thighs in flour, then dip them back in the buttermilk and then the breadcrumbs. Fry the pieces of chicken until they’re crispy, golden, and cooked through.
