  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. canola oil
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 2/3 C. crushed saltine crackers
  • 1/3 C. fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1/2 lb. ground turkey
  • 9 strips of bacon
  • 1/2 C. ketchup
  • 1/4 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 C. cider vinegar

Preheat your oven to 350°F and foil line the inside of a 13x9-inch baking dish. In a small skillet, sauté onion and garlic in canola oil until tender. In a large bowl, mix together milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, pepper sauce, crackers, parsley, and seasonings. Add sautéed onions and stir. Add in meats and use hands to incorporate ingredients. Shape into a loaf and place in your prepared baking dish. In a small saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and cider vinegar. Cook, stirring frequently, until sugar is dissolved. Spread sauce on top of loaf and cover with bacon. Bake for 55 minutes or until no pink remains.
