This recipe makes amazing empanadas with ground beef folded in buttermilk biscuit dough. This is a fantastic appetizer to serve at any of your upcoming parties!

Ingredients

  • ¾ pound ground beef
  • 1 cup diced white onion
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuit
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

Heat the oven to 350 degrees F and put a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef and onion seasoned with the pepper flakes for 6 minutes. Drain the meat and return it to the pan. Separate the biscuit dough into 8 biscuits and roll each into a 6-inch circle. Scoop the beef mixture into the center of each biscuit and sprinkle the beef with cheese. Fold over the dough into and half circle and press the ends together with a fork. Bake for 25 minutes.
