Crispy Onion Rings
Serving Size / Yield
- Vegetable oil
- 2 Sweet Onions (sliced to quarter-inch rings)
- 1 bottle lager beer
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1 cup Flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- Cold water
Soak onion rings in cold water for 10 minutes.
Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a pot.
Mix cornstarch, flour, baking powder in enough beer to make a liquid paste. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Dip onions in batter and drop in pot. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
