  • Onion Rings:
  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced into 1/2-inch rings
  • 1 C. milk
  • 1 T. white vinegar
  • 1/2 C. sour cream
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/2 T. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • Oil for frying
  • Sauce:
  • 1/3 C. mayonnaise
  • 3 T. ketchup
  • Hot sauce

Heat your oil in a frying pan. In a bowl, mix together 1 C. milk with 1 T. of vinegar. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then mix ½ C. sour cream. In a separate bowl mix 1 ½ C flour, ½ T. salt, ¼ tsp. black pepper, and 1 tsp. garlic powder. Separate the onion slices and dip them into the sour cream mixture. Once dipped in the sour cream mixture transfer them into the flour. Then dip them in milk and then dredge them into the flour again. Place the finished onion rings into the frying pan. Keep them in the pan until golden brown. Enjoy with sauce!
