There is no need for a deep fryer for these crispy golden mozzarella sticks. Season your breading however you like, give them a quick bake in the oven, and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

  • 25-30 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • ½ C. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 C. bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Remove cheese sticks from packaging and freeze them until solid. In a bowl, combine bread crumbs, onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper. In a second bowl, beat egg, and in a third bowl, add flour. Dip each cheese stick into flour, egg, and then breadcrumb mixture. Once evenly coated, freeze for 30 minutes to set up. Line sticks along a greased baking sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 5 to 8 minutes on each side until golden brown.
