Crock Pot Lasagna

For a healthier take, I have used whole wheat pasta and fat free mozzarella and it turned out great.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 med. Onion
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can mushrooms, optional
  • 1 small container cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 C. Parmesan cheese
  • Lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 1/2 C. Mozzarella cheese

Directions

Brown 1 lb of hamburger with 1 med onion in the microwave, with seasoning of salt, and pepper. Mix that with 1 jar of spaghetti sauce of your choice. Add one can of mushrooms, optional. Mix one small container of cottage cheese with one egg. Add 1 teaspoon of oregano and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese together. Spray crockpot and put 1/2 cup of sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles. You just have to break them to fit. Add 1/2 cup of cheese mixture and sprinkle a 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese on top. Spread 1 C. of the spaghetti sauce on top. Continue to layer ending with mozzarella cheese. Cook 4-5 hours on low, or 2-3 on high.
