Crockpot Beef Stew

Try this amazing recipe for beef stew. This is a perfect stew to serve on a cold winter day.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef stew meat
  • 1 pkg. Knorr's Oxtail beef soup mix
  • 1 bottle of beer
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas

Directions

Mix all ingredients except peas in a crockpot and cook on low for 8-10 hours. Add the peas and cook for another 15 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles.

Makes 4-6 servings.

  • I don't usually like cooking with beer..... but this is very good. I did make a tiny change by using 8 carrots (YUMMM) and a four small to mediumish potatoes. I also used some butter and flour to make gravy and added some plain, non fat yogurt (instead of sour cream which I adore) to the gravy. But just yours alone would be wonderful I know.

  • I am looking forwardt to trying as it sounds great. I will add a different veggie instead of peas like bell peppers or corn.
